This fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment is located in a 1900s townhouse in a quiet cul-de-sac in Nice's very central Port area, just 2 minutes walk from the Port, great restaurants and the seafront. For every week booked in 2012, we are donating 20 euros to Cambodian charity Krousar Thmey.

Staying in this home away from home feels much more like living in a house than an apartment. With two terraces, it is perfect for resting and relaxing whilst enjoying all the advantages of downtown living less than 5 minutes walk from gorgeous swimming & snorkeling spots and 10 minutes walk to Place Garibaldi and Old Nice.

This holiday apartment sleeps 4 (plus a single convertible sofa bed for a 5th person). It has a large 15m2 shady terrace plus a second sunlit balcony through French doors off the bright open-plan living room. Bedroom 1 can be configured as a double or a twin, and Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and a desk for starting that long awaited novel you’ll feel inspired to write here! Parking can be arranged.

There is a bright, comfortable living area with high ceilings and French windows to the balcony. Guests can enjoy cable TV, DVD and broadband internet, with Wi-fi in all areas of the holiday apartment. The large, fully-equipped kitchen leads outside to the 15m2 Mediterranean style terrace. Bedroom 1 as a double has the most comfortable king-sized bed ever, as well as ceiling fan and large closet. When conifugred as a twin, kids will love their fairy-tale beds! Bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed, ceiling fan, two windows and large desk space - the perfect place for rest or inspiration. The bathroom is spacious and bright, with 2 sinks, bath & rain shower, and a window to the private terrace.

Guests love the peaceful balcony overlooking trees and plants, for breakfast, afternoon tea in the sun or a candlelit dinner. The other 15m2 shady terrace is perfect for al fresco living. Grab your book and relax in the hammock with a refreshing drink.

The Port area is Nice’s unsung treasure and we have lots to recommend for your stay in our favorite neighborhood:
dozens of excellent restaurants including the Michelin starred Ane Rouge; swimming and snorkeling at Coco Beach five minutes away; coastal footpath to idyllic Villefranche-sur-Mer; scuba diving; the Italian architecture and outdoor cafes of Place Garibaldi, the entrance to Old Nice within 10 minutes walk; MaNolan’s Irish pub… Buses to Nice airport, Monaco and Eze stop 2 blocks away, and it’s 10 minutes walk to the tram and 12 to Riquier train station.

This self-catering apartment is just 5 minutes walk from Nice’s best kept secret: the bijou beaches and rocky inlets east of the port, and the scenic coastal footpath to idyllic Villefranche-sur-Mer. Swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and sailing are all on your doorstep. Access over 30 scuba diving sites and dive certification with Nice Diving, whose boat leaves twice daily from the Port. In summer, boat trips will take you to the Iles de Lérins near Cannes, to see the Man in the Iron Mask's cell, and also to Saint Tropez. Or take a ferry to Corsica or Sardinia and plunge even further into the Mediterranean ambiance!

Stroll around the port to the Chateau hill for breathtaking panoramic views, then down to Old Nice for a sunset aperitif on Cours Saleya or Place Rossetti.

Or wander over to the old town's other entrance at Place Garibaldi, just 10 minutes walk away, for more outdoor cafes and restaurants, ice cream parlous, Italian architecture to take your breath away, the modern art museum and an English language cinema.

- Every booking generates a 20 euros donation to the charity Krousar Thmey, a grassroots organisation in Cambodia supporting children in many ways, including access to free education and schools for deaf and blind children, both sorely needed in this beautiful but terribly poor country.

- A 25% advance deposit is required to secure your booking.

- PayPal accepted.

- €/£ 200 security deposit is payable in cash on arrival in exchange for a receipt and will be returned to you on departure in the absence of any breakage, damage or key loss.

- The key holder will greet you on arrival and can answer any questions during your stay.
