In the Hameau (Hamlet) of Nougein, 6 km far from Marcillac La Croisille, on a plateau at 530m high, you’ll find a private property of 2 ha. In the Limousin Region, in the Corrèze department, between the Périgord and the Massif Central, Nougein is a very old little village, standing away from urban activity; it offers a total immersion into wild nature.

We had been looking for a quiet place to be resting and setting down. The calmness, the nature, the deep silence of the place completely conquered us. You will even hear your heart beating and flies flying. Corrèze offers a great variety of landscapes: moor, woods, green valleys and deep gorges are a wonder for every hiker. It also proposes to architecture lovers and Roman Art connoisseurs quite a lot of tourist halts: country churches, castles, colourful villages with very nice old slated roofed houses which are worth a stop and a visit.

At 5 minutes by car from the cottage, in Marcillac, you will find a variety of shops and a weekly market. In Argentat, a very nice little medieval town (20 minutes by car) you will find all kinds of shops and all conveniences.

Our cottage is composed of a house, currently lived in by the owners and of a barn completely surrounded by a very beautiful garden planted with trees prolonged by two big grasses with an unobstructed view guaranteed on the neighbouring forests.

The cottage, made of country stones, is suitable for 4 to 5 people. The terrace facing due south and the shaded garden will invite you to “farniente” and will enable you to take your meals outside…in the nature.

Your booking will be registered after the reception of a deposit corresponding to 40% of the amount of your stay.

Low season 245€ a week.
Mid season 295€ a week.
High season 415€ a week.
Week-end (2 or 3 nights) NOT in High season.
Low season 2 nights for 95€, 3 nights for 120€.
Mid Season 2 nights for 110€, 3 nights for 135€.

Final Household If you wish us to do the household, on your departure day, thank you to ask us for it for the last on the Wednesday preceding the end of your stay, in order to organise this service which is proposed to you for 50€.

We will welcome you at the cottage from 3pm, the day of your arrival and we will then give you the keys at the house. If you wish to arrive earlier, please contact us beforehand. If the cottage is already free and available, we will satisfy your demand with great pleasure.

When you arrive, you will be asked to check your inventory and to give us a deposit of 300€ in cash that will be given back to you the day of your departure, after the checking by us of the outgoing inventory. The departure time in normally fixed at 10 am.
