If you ever come to Touraine Traveler, remember that one place is an absolute must where you can expect a gorgeous meal and night. “Maistre Michel” will welcome you warmly and “Dame Damienne” will treat you her home-made bread and other secrets. If this house is not a king’s you ‘ll be welcome as a prince. And if you like we can share our passion for medieval times.

When walking through CHINON forest you’ll have an opportunity to watch does, stags, deers, boars and many a bird. Here you are sure to feel quiet and peaceful. Each of our bedrooms is private. There you can feel comfortable and ready to enjoy a delicious breakfast. After a soothing night. Private TV, Toilet and bathroom. Pets are not allowed, No smoking room.

If you are a very long journey, halt in our house offering comfort, emotion and change in environment. You may choose to have a meal at our table and walk around the area with its meadows and wood,
wild plants and animals. In order that you enjoy a good meal, dame Damienne will prepare for you unusual tasty dishes, freely adapted from Middle-ages recipes.

In summer if you are tired, Traveler, you will possibly get a special selection on a tray. Every morning after your night in a “chamber and Breakfast” you will be served a pretty good breakfast with our special home-made bread and jam, fruit salad or stewed fruit (compote).

Dinner can be served to people stauing at least 3 nights and has to be reserved. We love our region, its very old heritage and we live in houses dating from the XVII and XVIII centuries. We have a passion for the middle-ages. Cooking was a way of finding former
Sensations. We got inspiration from Taillevent, Chiquart, Maestro Martino, Menagier of the Paris, books.

After searching and experiencing we managed to prepare very amazing meals with unusual flavours, taste or colors. When you go for a picnic, we can prepare for you a picnic meal composed of a starter – main course – cheese or dessert, home made bread, soft drink. There are numerous foot paths in the Vicinity : GR 3, GR 46, the nature trails of the Regional Nature Park, the trails of the villages around, the banks of the river Indre, Loire and Cher. Cycling along the river Loire is specially designated by the UNESCO with many other itineraries and places of interest. Bicycle rentals available nearby.

Tours in Gabare (traditional river boat) are organized on the river Loire. You can also rent quad bikes at the village (Driving license required). River and pond fishing. The Old Church of ND de Rigny now being restored...Ussé the chateau of "Sleeping Beauty" and "Pussy in Boots" Nearby, within 15 km, the Renaissance chateau.
