This charming 5 bedroom stone house is on the banks of the River Yonne in the picturesque village of Vincelottes, which is located approximately 13km south-east of the historic city of Auxerre in the north of Burgundy.

The house sleeps up to 10 people, one room having bunk beds, and has two en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. At the front is a terrace looking onto the river, with railings and a gate, making it safe for children.

The house has an abundance of beams and an open fireplace in the salon. There is full central heating. Vincelottes is surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills and makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Local attractions include the beautiful villages of Chablis, Irancy and St Bris (all rightly famous for their vineyards). There are lively markets at Auxerre, Chablis and Toucy.

The Canal de Nivernais provides ample opportunities for walking and cycling. Not far away are found important historical sites such as Vezelay Abbey, Abbey de Fontenay (both UNESCO world heritage sites) and the Chateau de Tanlay.

Burgundy is renowned for the high quality of its food and wine and there is a good local restaurant in Vincelottes itself as well as excellent dining nearby.

Local attractions include vineyards with winetasting, boating, swimming or fishing on the river, cycle tracks, art galleries and daily markets. Golf at Tanlay or Roncenay. Boat trips on the canal de Nivernais from Vincelles.

Outside: Front terrace and small rear courtyard can both be used for barbecue. Suitable outdoor furniture in utility room. Fishing on the river bank opposite the terrace. Further swimming and children's facilities, including boating,on man-made beach about 8km.
