La Garenne consists of 4 traditional and romantic 200 year old thatched holiday cottages in an exceptional location beside the beautiful River Blavet, Morbihan, Southern Brittany. Bursting with charm and character the cottages have flowers adorning their exteriors and breathtaking views across the entire valley with its meandering river. They are some of the prettiest cottages in Brittany, have featured in French Tourism Brochures, and are a very special place to come and stay.

The four cottages have a private heated swimming pool open May to September inclusive. There are quaint Breton towns, traditional market days, good restaurants (the nearest is just a 5-10 minute stroll along the towpath) plus lots more to see and do locally. Several sandy beaches 20 to 30 minutes drive and 5 golf courses within 45 minutes drive.

La Grange Holiday Cottage - This former barn is now an attractive 3 bedroom 2 bathroom holiday cottage. With a 45ft open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen it has a spacious and stunning interior. La Grange is a fully restored 200 year old thatched Breton cottage surrounded by colourful flower beds and borders. With wonderful views it is very authentic, full of massive oak beams, exposed stone and even an antique Breton bed. Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, 2 twin bedded rooms and family bathroom, powerful showers. Hairdryer and iron. Foldaway bed, cot, highchair and stairgate available on request.

La Chaumiere Cottage - This was the original farm cottage, it is unique and has a huge feature fireplace with date stone from 1784, the year the cottage was built. La Chaumiere is a fully restored 200 year old thatched Breton cottage. With colourful flower borders and rose framed veranda from which to enjoy the wonderful views, it is also full of massive oak beams, exposed stone and lots of charm. Double bedroom, twin bedded room, bathroom with bath and powerful shower. Hairdryer and iron. Foldaway bed, or cot with highchair and stairgate available on request.

Le Pressoir Cottage - This is a gorgeous "chocolate box" thatched cottage. Once the home of our cider press (hence the name), Breton cider was originally brewed inside! Le Pressoir is a fully restored 200 year old thatched Breton cottage with the traditional ridge of flowers including irises. Exquisite and attractive it has breathtaking views, colourful flower borders and lots of character inside.

Le Fournil Cottage - Located beside our ancient bread ovens (hence the name) this delightful open plan cottage has an enormous arched entrance, high ceiling and lovely ambience. Le Fournil is a fully restored 200 year old thatched Breton cottage surrounded by colourful flower beds and borders. With a wonderful aspect and a 3 metre high arched entrance it is bathed in light for most of the day. Le Fournil has an attractive galleried mezzanine double bedroom with a fully enclosed twin bedded room across the landing. Brand new bathroom with bath and separate powerful shower (Spring 2008). Hairdryer and iron. Foldaway bed, or cot with highchair and stairgate available on request.
